BTS: Made By Love Tees

Hey! Welcome to my first blog post for Made for Greater. I’ve been wanting to start this blog for a while now but did not know how to start it. I thought how perfect would it be to start off the blog with a behind the scenes of our newest shirt! I feel like people love watching things being made in the making, that’s probably why I loved watching Making the Band on MTV so much.

Meaning Behind The Quote

I think we all have those quotes that just stick in your head and stays with you. I have many quotes that I love that I’m sure my brain has a specific filing cabinet for (Imagine that episode from Spongebob) - That’s how I imagine it. The quote “You were Made by Love, For Love, and To Love” was instilled in my heart one retreat ago. At the time, this really meant a lot because I needed that reminder that I was not only made for love but I was also made to love. There’s a practice of humility that comes to play when we realize that we are also meant for others. That’s something that I constantly have to tell myself that this life is not meant for me but meant for others.

The Creative Process

If you haven’t gotten the hint that I love minimal, here are some photos that explain it. When making my moodboard for this shoot, I knew I wanted to be white, minimal, and industrial. I could not find spots out in my area so I found spots in LA where they offered just that! This location was actually the same spot where my photographer took her engagement photos and I knew it was meant to be. In these photos above, there are inspo pictures of what I wanted some of the photos to look like. I can’t thank this team enough for how well they made this shoot look. I still cannot believe I got a chance to make something as epic as a shirt that brings reminder to all of us of what we are meant for and how much love we receive and are meant to give.
